FAMILY LAW TRIAL ADVOCACY SEMINAR
Dror Bikel and Liz Mandarano will lead a team of attorneys, financial and psychological experts to provide an unparalleled practical experience in Family Law Trial Advocacy. This program is designed for individuals with at least three years of litigation or family law experience and consists of classic trial advocacy skills using scenarios that typically arise in divorce litigation. There will be three modules to the program:
Pre-Trial Prep: Trial Books, Witness/Exhibit Lists, Witness Prep, Subpoenas, Stipulations, Motions in Limine, Pre-marking and Order of Proof.
Trial in Progress: Direct and Cross Examination of Adult, Minor and Mental Health and Financial Expert Witnesses, Use of Psychological Testing, Introducing and Objecting to Evidence, Exhibits, Use of Discovery, Foundation, Argument and Rebuttal, Business Valuation Advocacy and Trial Decorum and Public Speaking.
Trial Wrap: Rebuttal Testimony, Argument, Post-Trial Considerations and Fees.
Individuals who register for the program must prepare for it in advance with pre-sent course materials to allow for a minimal amount of standard lecture and a maximum amount of hands-on trial experience and constructive group feedback. Registrants should anticipate dedicating 10-15 preparatory hours prior to the program’s commencement.
Tuition for this three-day program is $1,800. Fees include course materials, daily lunch and refreshments. Travel, lodging and other meals are not included. Pre-registration for the program is required by May 1st, 2011 to ensure timely distribution and review of program materials prior to its commencement so that participants are able to maximize their opportunity to experience hands-on trial practice.
Accreditation is requested for this program from every state with MCLE requirements. Information about lodging will be provided upon admission into the program or upon request.
