Uncontested Divorce

An uncontested divorce is a divorce where both parties are able to agree to dissolve a marriage in an amicable fashion and willing to negotiate a fair settlement agreement that works out the details of alimony, child support and property division. It offers great advantages in terms of efficiency, control over important decisions, and cost. It is often most suitable for parties who have no minor children, have clearly defined assets,  and/or have equal earning power or ability to support themselves after the divorce.  However, where minor children are present, it also spares them from being subjected to a custody dispute.  Uncontested divorces avoid additional emotional trauma to the parties, family members and dependents.

Despite the relative ease of an uncontested divorce, clients still require a team that can expertly address and analyze all personal and financial issues while maintaining a spirit of cooperation. We listen to our clients’ goals and needs to negotiate and mediate the most private, dignified and rewarding agreement possible. We foster an environment where the parties are able to work through issues yet also have the experience and skills known by opposing counsel to maximize obtaining a settlement advantageous to our clients.
